Looks like the film starring Richard Stanley has been...lost...weird. Hopefully someone finds the film.

By the way, welcome to the forum- your posts have been the first in about two weeks- it's been kinda slow around here lately. :? They jazzed up and streamlined this forum recently, and no one comes around to appreciate it! :x I think the mods oughtta start banning these ingrates!

Yeah, things have been slow. I've been very busy on my own end, as I'm sure Phoebus has been on his.

I'll try and contact the DEADWOOD producer about that message. Sounds pretty obscure to me - up to a point of being something else than what it initially appears to be.

Hi all,

nice to be greeted in such a cordial manner, I've been visiting the Between Death and the Devil - site for some time, nice content on this site. I'm a fan of Stanley's films. Hopefully the film Deadwood will be found.

Donall McCusker, the DEADWOOD producer, had this to say:

"Thanks for your concern. It’s a concern I’ve shared for quite a while now and to be honest the likelihood of the negative never showing up is probably quite high, however film negative is quite robust and it’s in steel cans so if it can be found it will probably be in good condition.

As for the wide release I’m still waiting on that one, but we’re hoping that the video we have will get screened at festivals. If nothing else it’s a damn good story.
"

Good news for those waiting on DEADWOOD!

The official site now features a trailer for the film; Stanley's there, just don't blink!

I'll have to dig around for Mr McCusker's mail address, the one on the official site doesn't work.

Oh, and the film's been renamed as THAT DEADWOOD FEELING.

The latest news is that this movie (now called That Deadwood Feeling) is now out on DVD from Amazon and elsewhere. Well worth checking out for anyone interested in Richard Stanley.
